By which criteria are the trends evaluated?

You evaluate the trends selected for the Trend radar based on the following criteria:

  • Potential: How do you assess the described trend’s potential for the selected focus of the Trend radar? The focus can be on a company division, business function or product line and is explained in the introductory text for the trend evaluation.
  • Degree of maturity: How established are the applications of this trend on the market? How do you assess the implementability and performance of the technology behind the described trends.
  • Competence: How well is your company prepared for the trend? Is it already in the implementation phase or is the company not yet aware of this trend? Consider whether the first prototypes, services, processes or projects have been initiated.

The criteria are evaluated on a scale (represented by a slider) of 1 – 100. To provide some orientation, the evaluation takes one of four ratings for the user (low, moderate, high, very high).
