How do I create search agents?

You can create a search agent directly from the Trend finder or from a Workspace. A search agent is based on a search query which you define and it informs you about future micro-trends.

Creating search agents in the Trendfinder:

After running a search, you have the option of saving it as a search agent in the Trendfinder. To do so, click on the button “Create a search agent”. Then give the search agent a name and select a related workspace.

Define a new search agent directly from the Trendfinder.

Creating search agents in the workspace:

Search agents for different topics.

To create a search agent from a workspace, click on the blue New button in the search agent box on your workspace’s details page.

Setting the search criteria:

Select the search criteria that your search agent will use to look for future micro-trends. You can choose a search term or use the filters on offer. According to your specifications, the search agents’ results can be defined further or reduced by combining the filter.

The search agent shows you which micro-trends were found for the search query. You can find the returned micro-trends on the search agent’s details page. In each case, you can decide if you want to add the micro-trends to the workspace or reject them.

Please note that a high number of rejected micro-trends is a sign that the search parameters might not match your topic or search.

In the notification settings, you can decide if you also wish to be informed of new micro-trends by e-mail.
